Neographics 2010 Person fo the Year Stephen J. Esser
After graduating from RIT in 1972 Steve entered the family business; Kutztown Publishing. In 1986 he was promoted to president of the company. Even while he was running his publishing company, he found time to serve his industry and his community.
Steve served on numerous GAA committees and on the GAA Board of Directors. Steve served on GAA’s Education Committee and Building Committee. He served on the GAA Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee and then was elected Chairman of the Board. After his service with GAA, Steve went on to national service on the board of directors of Printing Industries of American. During Steve's terms on the board of PIA/GATF he also served on their Labor Policy Committee where he was instrumental in compiling the PIA/GATF Benefits Book which is now in its second edition.
Not only did Steve devote much time to the printing industry and to GAA, he also found time to volunteer in his community. Following is just a partial list of organizations in which he’s been involved: Caron Foundation Board of Directors, YMCA of Reading and Berks Board of Directors, The Burn Foundation of the Lehigh Valley Board of Directors, Tri-Valley YMCA Board of Directors, and the Hawk Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

The Neographics Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Person of the Year. If someone from
your company or someone you know has made significant contributions to the Graphic Arts industry in this region and you
think that person should be recognized, we encourage you to submit a nomination. Below is the criteria the Neographics
committee follows in choosing the “Person of the Year”.
Person of the Year Criteria
This award of recognition will be given to an outstanding individual within our industry. Candidates should have
made significant contributions to the Graphic Arts Industry in our region. Contributions may be defined as service
to the industry through a trade association or organization such as GAA, PIA, PGSF or NAPL, an educational
organization, demonstrated leadership, made a personal sacrifice for the betterment of the industry or some other
manner that contributed to the entire industry.
